Dog Beach with Bunjo

Every so now and then we drive an hour and a bit to doggie beach that we’ve been going to for years. The only beach even remotely close to us that we can take Bunjo (our dog) to. Bunjo, who’s a Dutch shepherd (I know ironic), is a really social dog, the closer we get to the beach the more restless he gets. And don’t even try to keep track of where Bunjo is on the beach, he runs around crazily sniffing other dog’s butts, making friends and paddling through the shallow water until we call him to leave.

Now that’s when everything gets interesting. Bath time. Bunjo absolutely hates being sprayed with water, especially if it’s cold. All he does the whole bath time is whinge, it’s slightly sad, but mainly ridiculously adorable.

I recommend anyone who has one or multiple dogs to go to the doggie beach in Bayview. You also have the option of going to the Flying Fox Cafe next door, which is great and pet friendly for the outdoor seating. For those of you who live close to the beach, I highly advise you walk to the beach, the walk is great, plus you don’t have to worry about finding a parking spot which you don’t have to pay for.
